Amy Coughlin

Amy Coughlin works in the University of Notre Dame’s Office of Business Operations, as the director of administrative services. She oversees the aviation department, risk management and safety, transportation services, warehouse and delivery, and various off-campus building management responsibilities.

She is also responsible for the divisional budget process, management of discretionary funding, and analysis of financial variances. She manages special initiatives designed to translate the strategic vision of the division into workable plans supporting the University mission.

Prior to becoming the director of administrative services in March 2009, Coughlin was the director of project management. Before joining the University in 2002, Coughlin gained a wide variety of business experience. She has worked as a financial consultant for Federal Express in Southeast Asia, served as an international project manager for Arthur Andersen, and conducted e-commerce research at INSEAD in France and Singapore.

Coughlin is a concurrent instructor in the College of Arts & Letters, teaching an undergraduate course in E-Business Strategies for the computer applications department. She received both of her degrees from the University of Notre Dame, a BBA in finance 1996 and an MBA in 2006. She is also a certified fraud analyst.
