Associate Vice President and University Architect
Douglas K. Marsh, AIA

As associate vice president and University architect, Doug Marsh has been responsible for leading the University in the successful planning, design, and construction of over $500M of new facilities and major renovation projects in the last 10 years. The University’s major projects currently under his leadership include the $56M Law School Expansion and Renovation Project and the $69M multidisciplinary engineering facility. He also led in the recent update of the University’s Campus Plan. Marsh recently assumed the responsibility for maintaining the approximately 8 million square feet of campus buildings.
Marsh, a native of South Bend, received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1982 and worked in private practice prior to joining the University’s staff in 1995. He and his wife, Pam, have two sons, Adam, a first-year student at Notre Dame, and Alex, a high school junior.
